Setting up gift card product details
Find the gift card product details settings under the Details tab in the first step of the product builder.
Naming your gift card
You can start by entering the gift card Name in the field provided.
Gift cards are often categorized into different tiers or levels, each offering varying amounts of value, benefits, or perks, so that the name can represent one of these levels, e.g., Bronze or Bronze $25.00.
Providing a SKU for your gift card
What is a SKU? A SKU (or Stock Keeping Unit) is a unique identifier for each distinct gift card product. It is often a combination of letters and numbers.
The system automatically generates a SKU based on the name you enter for your gift card.
Do you want to change your SKU? Follow these steps:
- Click the pencil icon next to the SKU field.
- Enter your preferred SKU.
- Click the checkmark button (✓) to save your update.
Choosing a category for your gift card
You need to choose a Category from the drop-down menu. The most commonly used category is, unsurprisingly, Gift Cards!
- Place your cursor in the Category field.
- Enter the name of your new category (or select an existing category from the list).
- Click on the drop-down or press [Enter] on your keyboard to add your new category.
| Choosing a category for your gift card does not limit the products guests can apply it to. For example, if you assign a gift card to the gift cards category, it can still be redeemed for products in other categories, like tours or rentals. |
Specifying the visibility of your gift card
Decide who can see the gift card product on the booking page or widget - everyone, staff only, or as an upsell to other products.
- Select Everyone to make your gift card visible for booking on your website.
- Select Staff Only if you want the gift card visible only to your staff and on staff-only pages.
Adding photos to your gift card products
You can add an image representing the gift card product on the booking page.
You can drag and drop a file from your computer into the designated upload area or click on that space to open a File Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows) on your computer and select the file to upload.
Supported formats include PNG, JPG, and GIF at a max size of 10MB each.
To remove an image, hover over the image and click the trash can icon in the bottom-right corner.
Providing details about your gift card product
The Details field lets you add a brief description that customers can see on your booking page or widget.
Use our editor to format the description for display. Format the text using the options provided (format, bold italic, underline, strikethrough, lists, link, line, align, size, text color) or work with the HTML code (<>).

The system may sometimes still retain the formatting when pasting existing text into the text editor. There are two ways to address this issue:

Choosing the sort order of gift card products
You can specify where the gift card appears on your booking page or widget by entering a number in the Sort Order field, with 1 being the highest and the first to display.
